STATEMENT BY SENATOR SUSAN COLLINS ON THE RESIGNATION OF DHS ASSISTANT SECRETARY FOR LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS

Washington, D.C. - Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Susan Collins issued the following statement on the resignation of Pam Turner, the Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security:   “Pam Turner has been an affective advocate for the Department of Homeland Security since its inception.  She began her tenure the month DHS opened its doors, served under the first two secretaries of the Department, and built from scratch a professional congressional relations staff,” said Chairman Collins.  “The Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee has worked closely with Pam on numerous matters as the Department has grown.  We will miss her diligence, competence, and civility.  And I wish her well as she moves on to new challenges.”
