Statement Regarding Security of Senator Collins’ Home

Washington, D.C.—The office of U.S. Senator Susan Collins released this statement:

 

“Because Senator Collins periodically gets threatening letters and phone calls, we have been advised by Capitol Police to notify the local police department when there is activity directed at her around her home.”

 

On background: Over the weekend, Senator Collins noticed activity directed toward her outside of her home and followed the Capitol Police’s guidance by reporting it.
