SNOWE, COLLINS ANNOUNCE $365,000 IN FUNDING TO THE EASTERN MAINE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Senators Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Susan Collins (R-ME) today announced the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), has awarded $365,000 in funding to Eastern Maine Development Corporation in Bangor for a cost sharing Procurement Technical Assistance Cooperative.

"This funding will be particularly helpful in giving the local businesses of Eastern Maine guidance on how to market their goods and services to Federal agencies, thereby making them more competitive with businesses throughout the country," said Senators Snowe and Collins in a joint statement.

The Department of Defense Procurement Technical Assistance (DoD PTA) Program assists state and local governments and other private nonprofit entities to establish and maintain activities to help business firms market their goods and services to Federal agencies.
