"Keeping Maine communities connected with up to date infrastructure is extremely critical," Senators Snowe and Collins said in a joint statement. "These grants will fund much-needed improvements to the transportation systems of the state as well as maintain its safety."
The following towns will receive funding:
• $1,322,666.67 for the Old Town-Milford Bridge • $150,000 for Auburn/Lewiston Municipal: Update Airport Master Plan Study • $661,333.33 for replacement of Waldo-Hancock Bridge. • $496,000 for the Penobscot River Passenger Ferry Docking Facility. • $529,067 for Exit 3, I-295 in South Portland.
