SNOWE, COLLINS ANNOUNCE $133,300 IN FUNDING TO THE PENOBSCOT VALLEY HOSPITAL

WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Senators Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Susan Collins (R-ME) today announced that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development office has awarded the Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln, ME $133,300 in a community facility direct loan.

"This critical funding will allow the Penobscot Valley Hospital to finish its renovation and accommodate new services and technology to better serve the people of Penobscot County," Snowe and Collins said in a joint statement.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development office promotes economic development and essential public facilities and services in rural America. They administer $16 billion in program loans, loan guarantees, and grants through their programs.
