SENATORS SNOWE, COLLINS ANNOUNCE $650,000 IN DRUG-FREE GRANT FUNDING FOR MAINE

U.S. Senator Olympia J. Snowe and U.S. Senator Susan Collins today announced that seven Maine organizations will be receiving a combined $650,000 in grant funding from the Office of National Drug Control Policy Drug-Free Communities Support Program.

“Community drug-free programs are important to building safe and healthy communities.” said Senators Snowe and Collins in a joint statement. “We are pleased to see this funding going to Maine

The grant funding will be allocated as follows:
Healthy Androscoggin, Lewiston - $100,000
Portland CMCA Coalition - $100,000
Greater Waterville Prevention Coalition - $100,000
The Communities Promoting Health Coalition, Portland - $100,000
CADET Team / Aroostook Substance Abuse Prevention, Caribou - $100,000
Katahdin Shared Services, Inc., Millinocket - $100,000
River Coalition, Inc., Old Town - $50,000
