U.S. Senators Olympia J. Snowe and Susan Collins announced today the Four Directions Development Corporation has been awarded a grant of $138,876 from the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund. The funding will allow Four Directions to better serve Maine’s four native tribes by assisting in the investment of affordable housing and tribal business ventures.
“This grant funding will greatly benefit our Native American communities by assisting with the creation of affordable housing and business ventures” noted Senators Snowe and Collins in a joint statement. “We are excited to announce this funding because it will do much good for so many people.”
