SENATORS SNOWE, COLLINS ANNOUNCE $1.19 MILLION IN HIGHWAY FUNDING

U.S. Senators Olympia J. Snowe and Susan M. Collins today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded a combined $1,192,794 in National Highway Traffic Safety funding to Maine. The funding will be used to improve highway safety throughout the state.

"We are pleased that these funds have been awarded," said Senators Snowe and Collins in a joint statement. "This grant from the Department of Transportation is a welcome addition in the ongoing effort to improve Maine's transportation infrastructure and to ensure safety for both residents of Maine and visitors to our state."
