Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King met with a group of Biddeford Middle School students, parents, and teachers who traveled to Washington, D.C., as part of the school’s annual class trip.

“We were delighted to welcome these students from Biddeford Middle School to our nation’s capital,” said Senators Collins and King in a joint statement. “There are countless educational opportunities in D.C., and we are glad that these bright young Mainers have the chance to gain a deeper understanding of the legislative process by seeing it firsthand.”

The annual trip by the Biddeford Middle School 8th graders allows the students to tour the U.S. Capitol building as well as other points of interest in Washington, D.C.
