Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators Susan Collins, the Chairman of the Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development Appropriations Subcommittee, and Angus King announced today that nine housing programs across the State of Maine have been awarded a total of $449,554 through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program.
“Maine’s housing authorities provide a vital service to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low-income families,” said Senators Collins and King in a joint statement. “By supporting public housing agencies, these grants will help connect Mainers with the resources they need to achieve economic independence.”
