Senator Susan Collins Congratulates Maine Students Attending Journalism And Media Conference In Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Susan Collins welcomed high school seniors Michelle Porter and Kiersten Robinson from Mattanawcook Academy as well as junior Gabriella Donovan from Presque Isle High School to Washington this week. The students are attending the Washington Journalism and Media Conference at George Mason University in partnership with the Newseum.

“It was a pleasure to welcome these outstanding students to the United States Capitol this week,” said Senator Collins. “Each of them has demonstrated strong academic success in their communities and I know that they will represent the state of Maine well.”

The Washington Journalism and Media Conference selects talented high school student leaders from all over the country to receive hands on learning from professionals on the George Mason faculty and international media outlets.
