Senator Collins Welcomes Yarmouth Native to Washington, D.C., Office

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Meredith Coolidge, a Yarmouth native, has been awarded a summer internship in her Washington, D.C., office.  Meredith is the daughter of David Coolidge and Jessica Healy of Portland, and Kathryn and Tom Cope of Yarmouth.

 

“It is always a pleasure to give Mainers an opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process in Washington and to serve the citizens of Maine,” said Senator Collins.  “Meredith has a strong work ethic and a commendable desire to for public service, and I am delighted to welcome her to my Washington, D.C., office.”

 

Meredith is a rising senior at College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she majors in classics and political science.  She is the Student Government Association (SGA) Co-President at Holy Cross.  Upon graduation, Meredith will be teaching in San Antonio, Texas, as a Teach for America corps member for two years.  She eventually plans to pursue a law degree.  Meredith was previously a summer intern in Senator Collins’ Portland office.
