Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator Susan Collins met with a group of Woolwich Central School students, parents, and teachers who traveled to Washington, D.C., for their 8th grade annual trip. During their visit, Senator Collins spoke with the 8th grade class and answered questions about a typical day in the life of a United States Senator.

“It was wonderful to welcome 8th grade students from Woolwich to our nation’s Capital today,” said Senator Collins. “These bright young people asked terrific questions, and I told them they can accomplish anything if they work hard and never give up.”

The annual trip by the Woolwich Central School 8th graders allows the students to tour the U.S. Capitol building as well as other points of interest in Washington, D.C.
