Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Maguire Anuszewski, a Winthrop native, has been awarded a summer internship in her Washington, D.C., office. Maguire is the son of Loren and Kristel Anuszewski.

“I am delighted to welcome Maguire to my Washington, D.C., office,” said Senator Collins. “Maguire demonstrated impressive leadership skills in the classroom, and I am pleased that he will have the opportunity to see the legislative process firsthand as well as serve his fellow Mainers.”

Maguire is a rising junior at Brown University where he studies public policy with a focus on health care. At the University, he serves as a captain of the ski team, a chair on the Program in Liberal Medical Education’s Senate, and a member of the University’s executive board of No Labels. After graduation, he plans to attend Brown’s Alpert School of Medicine on his journey to become a physician.
