Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Susan Collins met with nearly 100 students, parents, and teachers from Wells Junior High School who were visiting Washington, D.C., as part of a class trip.

“It is always a pleasure to welcome Maine students to our nation’s capital,” said Senator Collins.  “I encourage Maine students to believe in themselves and never give up.  They have the opportunity to be the future community, business, and elected leaders of our state.”

The trip by Wells Junior High School allows the students to tour the U.S. Capitol building as well as other points of interest in Washington, D.C.
