Bangor, ME — U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Makenzie Baber, a Veazie native, has been awarded a spring internship in her Bangor office.  Makenzie is a 2017 graduate of John Bapst Memorial High School and is the daughter of Gayle and Brett Baber.

“Makenzie is a terrific student and a hard worker, and I am delighted to welcome her to my Bangor office,” said Senator Collins.  “It is always a pleasure to give students an opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to serve the citizens of Maine.”

Makenzie is a sophomore at the University of Maine at Orono, where she is studying nursing and political science.  Upon graduation, she plans to work as a nurse to develop hands-on experience before pursuing a career in medical policy.
