WASHINGTON, D.C.—Senator Susan Collins is pleased to announce that Lindsey Alexander, an Augusta native, has been awarded an internship in her Augusta state office. Alexander’s primary duty will be to assist the Senator with constituent relations.
“Lindsey’s academic profile and strong work ethic will be a great asset to my Augusta office,” said Senator Collins. “Internships are extremely beneficial in providing students with the opportunity to gain real life experiences. During Lindsey's internship she will be able to learn the inner workings of a Congressional office by experiencing it first-hand.”
Alexander, the daughter of Susan Alexander, is a 2005 graduate of Cony High School in Augusta. She is currently a sophomore at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts where she is studying History and International Affairs. Alexander serves as Class President and as Chairwoman for the Gordon College Republicans. Alexander also recently completed a successful two-year internship with the Maine Republican Party.
