Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Susan Collins has announced that Mikhaila Fogel, a Portland native, has been awarded a fall internship in her Washington, D.C., office. Mikhaila is the daughter of Bill Fogel and Melinda Molin of Portland.
“It is always a pleasure to give Mainers an opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to serve the citizens of Maine,” said Senator Collins. “Mikhaila is a hard worker with an impressive record of achievement, and I am delighted to welcome her to my Washington, D.C., office.”
Mikhaila graduated from Harvard College in May 2016, majoring in Modern European History and Literature and minoring in Government and Arabic. While in college, she was an active member of Harvard’s Hyperion Shakespeare Company and worked as a janitor and custodial crew leader. She hopes to pursue a career in national security and human rights policy, and is a graduate of Portland High School.
