Portland, ME – U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Anna Sanders, a Portland native, has been awarded a summer internship in her Portland office.  Sanders is the daughter of Samuel and Diana Sanders of Portland.

“Anna is a terrific student and a hard worker, and I am delighted to welcome her to my Portland office,” said Senator Collins.  “It is always a pleasure to give students an opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to serve the citizens of Maine.”

Sanders is a rising junior at Baylor University, where she is studying political science and is a member of the University’s Student Activities Union Board and Young America’s Foundation.  After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in government and politics.
