Bangor, ME — U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Quinn Ferguson, a Poland native, was awarded an internship in her Bangor office.  Senator Collins first met Quinn in 2013 when he was a delegate to the JDRF Children’s Congress and testified at a Senate Aging Committee hearing she held to explore the impact of Type 1 diabetes on patients.

“Quinn is a hard worker and a terrific student, and I was delighted to welcome him to my Bangor office,” said Senator Collins.  “Six years ago, Quinn provided compelling testimony at a Senate Aging Committee hearing I chaired on Type 1 diabetes, and I know he will continue to be a strong advocate for those with this disease.”

Quinn is a sophomore at the University of Maine, where he is studying biomedical engineering.  He is the son of Mark and Valerie Ferguson of Poland.
