Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that William O’Neil, an Orono native, has been awarded a fall internship in her Washington, D.C., office.  William is a 2017 graduate of Orono High School and is the son of Mary and Robert O’Neil of Orono.

“William has a strong work ethic and is a terrific student, and I am delighted to welcome him to my D.C. office,” said Senator Collins.  “I always enjoy giving students the opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to serve the citizens of Maine.”

William is a junior at the University of Maine at Orono, where he is studying political science. After graduation, he plans to pursue a graduate degree and a career in public service.
