Senator Collins Welcomes Madison Native As Summer Intern In Augusta

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Susan Collins is pleased to announce that Kristin Bishop of Madison is serving as an intern in her Augusta Constituent Service Center this summer.

“I am excited that Kristin will be working with my staff to serve the people of Maine,” Senator Collins said.  “She has proven herself to be an exceptional student and dedicated worker, and I am glad she will have the opportunity to learn about the legislative process.”

Kristin is a 2014 graduate of Madison High School, where Senator Collins delivered the commencement address.  She was the class valedictorian, a four-year class president, a Mitchell Scholar, and the recipient of the Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award, and the 2014 Maine Principal’s Award.

Kristin plans to attend Bowdoin College in the fall to pursue a degree in government and legal studies.  She is the daughter of Frank and Vanessa Bishop.
