Senator Collins Welcomes Lowell Native as Fall Intern in Washington Office

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Emma Roberts, a Lowell native, has been awarded a fall internship in her Washington, D.C., office. Emma is a graduate of John Bapst Memorial High School in Bangor.

"I always enjoy giving Maine students the opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to serve the people of Maine," said Senator Collins. "Emma has an impressive academic record, and I am so pleased to welcome her to my Washington, D.C., office."

Emma is a rising junior at Smith College, where she is majoring in Government. On campus, she is a member the Student Government Association. Upon graduation, Emma hopes to attend law school in Washington D.C.
