Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Susan Collins met with a group of 20 students and faculty from Lake Region High School who traveled to Washington, D.C., as part of a class trip.
“It is always a pleasure to welcome Maine students to our nation’s capital,” said Senator Collins. “I am glad that these bright students from Lake Region High School had the chance to take part in this educational trip. I always encourage Maine students to believe in themselves and never give up. They have the opportunity to be the future community, business, and elected leaders of our state.”
During their visit, the Lake Region students toured the U.S. Capitol building as well as other points of interest in Washington, D.C.
