SENATOR COLLINS WELCOMES INTERN FROM MANCHESTER

U.S. Senator Susan Collins today announced that Andrew Allen of Manchester has been awarded a summer internship in her Augusta state office. Allen's primary responsibility will be to assist staff with constituent relations.

"I am delighted to provide Maine students with an opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process," said Collins. "During Andrew's internship he will be able to learn the inner workings of a congressional office through first-hand experience. I welcome Andrew to my staff."

Andrew, the son of Robert Allen and Sara Burns, is a 2007 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School in Auburn. He will be a junior at Swarthmore College in the fall where he is studying political science and economics. He has lettered in baseball at Swarthmore and was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll this spring.
