Senator Collins Welcomes East Machias Native to Her Portland Office

Portland, ME — U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Cailyn Burke, an East Machias native, has been awarded a spring internship in her Portland office. 

“Cailyn has exhibited a strong work ethic, exceptional leadership skills, and a commendable desire to serve our state and country,” said Senator Collins.  “I am delighted to welcome her to my Portland office, where she will have the opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to continue her service to the citizens of Maine.”

Cailyn is a senior at Southern Maine Community College, where she is studying political science.  From 2010 to 2014, Cailyn was an LT Cadet Squadron Leader for the Civil Air Patrol-Air Force Auxiliary.
