Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Michael Delorge, a Biddeford native, has been awarded a spring internship in her Bangor office. Michael is a graduate of the Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone, Maine.
"Throughout his time at the University of Maine, Michael has proven himself to be an outstanding student and leader," said Senator Collins. "I am delighted to have him in my Bangor office, and I am pleased that he has the opportunity to serve the people of Maine and see the legislative process firsthand."
Michael is a rising senior at the University of Maine, where he is studying biology and political science. On campus, he is the vice president and president-elect of the student body, a student researcher, and leads UMaine’s Partners for World Health club in global health volunteer efforts.
