Auburn, ME – U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Abigayle Bates, an Auburn native, has been awarded a fall internship in her Lewiston and Augusta Constituent Service Centers.  Abigayle is a 2016 graduate of Saint Dominic Academy and the daughter of Rhonda and Rodney Bates.

“Abigayle is a terrific student and a hard worker, and I am delighted to welcome her to both my Lewiston and Augusta Constituent Service Centers,” said Senator Collins.  “It is always a pleasure to give students the opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative progress and to serve the citizens of Maine.”

Abigayle is a recent graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where she majored in Health Management and Policy.  She was the Vice President of the Student Organization for Health Leadership, as well as a volunteer for Autism Speaks.  Upon completion of the internship, Abigayle plans to attend Massachusetts School of Law and participate in the Yale School of Public Health’s Climate Change and Health Certification Program.
