Whiting, ME – This afternoon, U.S. Senator Susan Collins visited Bar Harbor Foods in Whiting to tour the facility and meet with employees and leadership, including General Manager Mike Sansing.

“As a quality producer of seafood chowders, bisques, stocks, and sauces, Bar Harbor Foods and its employees exemplify the Maine spirit of hard work,” said Senator Collins.  “I enjoyed touring the facility and speaking with the company’s employees about the success they’ve had in processing and delivering delicious seafood products made right here in Maine.”

Bar Harbor Foods, formerly known as the Look Gourmet Food Company, is a leading producer of branded quality seafood products for retail.  The company is owned by Sea Watch International, the largest clam processor in the world with four production facilities in the United States, including the factory in Whiting.  There are currently 28 employees at the production facility in Whiting, and Raye’s Mustard and Hannaford’s are among their biggest Maine customers.
