SENATOR COLLINS TOURS HODGDON YACHTS

EAST BOOTHBAY, MAINE –Senator Susan Collins, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, toured the Hodgdon Yachts facilities in East Boothbay on Friday June 2.  Senator Collins met with company President, Tim Hodgdon, who led her on the tour.  As a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senator Collins helped to secure $8 million in funding over the last two years for the Navy’s Mark V replacement craft.  Hodgdon Yachts, in a joint venture with Maine Marine Manufacturing and the University of Maine’s Advanced Engineered Wood Composites Center, is currently in the process of constructing the Mark V replacement craft.  Senator Collins is shown here with Tim Hodgdon, President of Hodgdon Yachts.
