Senator Collins' Statement On Senator Mikulski's Retirement

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following the announcement that Maryland Senator Barbara Mikulski will retire from the United States Senate, Senator Susan Collins released the following statement:

"Senator Barbara Mikulski is the dean of the women of the Senate. To me, she has been an extraordinary role model, a wonderful mentor, and a close friend. I will miss her strong leadership, good humor, intelligence and integrity. The Senate is a better place for her having served here."
