Senator Collins Selected for 2024 BBC 100 Women List

List highlights 100 women around the world who are striving to overcome challenges faced by women globally

Washington, D.C. – Today, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) announced that U.S. Senator Susan Collins has been selected for their 12th annual 100 Women list. In announcing her selection, the BBC highlighted two legislative efforts that Senator Collins has led in the U.S. Senate: her authoring and leading the passage of the National Alzheimer’s Project Act (NAPA), and her joint introduction of the Advancing Menopause and Mid-Life Women’s Health Act.

“It is an honor to be selected for this list and to stand alongside so many incredible women who have dedicated their lives to service and combatting the challenges facing women around the world,” said Senator Collins. “Thank you to the BBC for selecting me for this distinction and the people of Maine for entrusting me with the privilege of serving them in the United States Senate.”
