WASHINGTON, D.C.—Senator Susan Collins today released the following statement on the death of Lucien "Babe" Dutremble.
"Today, York County lost a devoted friend and loyal public servant. Babe Dutremble
was a tireless advocate for the people of his community having served as a State Representative, a York County Commissioner for 15 years, and as Mayor of Biddeford for six years. He also instilled in his children his commitment to public service and was so proud when his son, Duke, became the first Franco-American President of the Maine Senate in the state's history. I extend my condolences to Babe's wife, Cecile, and his entire family."
