Lewiston, ME—U.S. Senator Susan Collins joined the community at the Downtown Trick-or-Treat Halloween Celebration in Lewiston this afternoon.  The annual family event, which is organized by the LA Metro Chamber of Commerce, draws children and parents to participating businesses downtown.  Senator Collins passed out flag stickers and an assortment of treats to children outside her Lewiston Constituent Service Center on Lisbon Street.

“I had such a great time participating in the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce’s Downtown Trick-or-Treat celebration.  I enjoyed speaking with so many families and seeing all of the children’s unique and creative costumes,” said Senator Collins.  “This annual event is a wonderful way to bring the community together and strengthen small businesses downtown.”

Trick-or-Treat bags and maps were handed out at Dufresne Plaza in Lewiston as well as Festival Plaza in Auburn.  The event engages downtown business and invigorates community spirit by promoting Lisbon Street in Lewiston and Main Street in Auburn.
