SENATOR COLLINS NAMED FRIEND OF FARM BUREAU

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Susan Collins recently received the "Friend of Farm Bureau" award from the American Farm Bureau Federation. AFBF awards this honor every two years to Members of Congress based on their efforts on behalf of farmers and ranchers.

"Maine's farming community is a cornerstone of the State's economy," Senator Collins said. "I will continue to work on behalf of our local farmers so they might receive the support they need to succeed."

The award recognizes Members who support policies that help farmers tend their farms with less regulatory interference and increase demand for U.S. farm products through new uses and enhanced trade opportunities.
