Senator Collins Mourns Passing Of Jim Dowe

WASHINGTON, DC -- Senator Susan Collins today issued the following statement on the passing of Paul James Dowe Jr., the former CEO of Bangor Savings Bank and Maine Public Broadcasting Corp.:

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Jim Dowe.  I first worked with Jim, then the CEO of Bath Savings Institution, when I was a legislative assistant to Senator Bill Cohen, and I continued to work with him many years later when he became CEO of Maine Public Broadcasting.  Jim was an innovative leader who was always ready to seek a new challenge.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.”
