Senator Collins Mourns The Passing Of Former Senator Hathaway

WASHINGTON, D.C.-U.S. Senator Susan Collins released this statement tonight after learning of the passing of former Senator William Hathaway.

"Bill Hathaway was a wonderful person and good friend. I last talked with him in January at an inaugural reception for Mainers at the New Zealand embassy. Despite being in a wheelchair, he was as chipper and engaged as ever. I shall miss him and extend my sympathies to his family."
