Senator Collins Meets with Wiscasset Christian Academy Students

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Susan Collins met with Wiscasset Christian Academy high school seniors Jonathan Batchelder and Seth Paine.  The students were in Washington, D.C., to attend the Youth Legislative Training Conference (YLTC), a five-day conference hosted by the American Association of Christian Schools.

“I was delighted to meet with Jonathan and Seth and welcome them to our nation’s capital,” said Senator Collins.  “I am pleased that they have this unique opportunity to learn about American history and witness the legislative process firsthand.”

The YLTC teaches students about the legislative process through a congressional briefing, professional workshops, a mock Senate simulation, and meetings with participants’ respective Senators and Representatives.
