Bangor, ME – Last week, U.S. Senator Susan Collins met the Fort Fairfield High School girls’ basketball team at the University of Maine women’s basketball game versus the University of Maryland at Baltimore County.  Following the game, Senator Collins spoke with the Fort Fairfield High School team on the basketball court at the Cross Center in Bangor.

“It was wonderful meeting the Fort Fairfield High School girls’ basketball team last week.  I was very impressed that the girls took the time out of their weekend to drive more than two and a half hours to cheer on UMaine,” said Senator Collins.  “I wish them all the best on the rest of their season.”

The Fort Fairfield Middle/High School includes grades sixth through twelfth and serves approximately 250 students in Aroostook County.  Their school mascot is a tiger.

The UMaine women’s basketball team defeated the University of Maryland at Baltimore County 84 to 44.
