SENATOR COLLINS GREETS MAINE CREWMEN OF USS FARRAGUT

MAYPORT, Florida—Senator Susan Collins, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, recently participated in the commissioning ceremony for the U.S.S. Farragut (DDG-99) and greeted sailors from Maine who are assigned to the ship.               USS Farragut, an Arleigh-Burke-class destroyer was built at Bath Iron Works and christened in July, 2005.  The ship was commissioned during a ceremony held at Naval Station Mayport in Mayport, Florida on Saturday, June 10th.
