U.S. Senator Susan Collins congratulated Olivia Sharrow of Glenburn, the first place winner for the State of Maine in the 2011 Tar Wars Poster Contest. This contest celebrates youth, creativity, and being tobacco free by encouraging young students across the nation to submit posters that promote tobacco awareness. Accompanied by her parents John and Amy, and her siblings Amy and Marley, Olivia met with Senator Collins while in Washington, D.C. to attend the Tar Wars National Conference along with other state level winners.
Titled "Tobacco- free is the way to bee", Olivia's award winning poster also won Special Recognition at the national level.
