Portland, ME – Yesterday, U.S. Senator Susan Collins attended and delivered remarks at the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce “Women of the Chamber” networking event at the Portland Museum of Art. Approximately 160 women business leaders and professionals from the Portland area attended the event.
“As I travel throughout Maine, I meet so many outstanding women who are making a difference in government, education, business, health care, and every other field. From gourmet foods to heavy construction, Maine women are demonstrating the ingenuity and determination that define our State,” said Senator Collins. “The Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Women of the Chamber’ event helps to highlight and bring together many inspiring and hardworking women who have shaped not only their economies, but also their communities.”
The Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce works to support the growth and success of their members by providing networking opportunities and educational resources, and promoting regional prosperity. The Chamber partners with communities in South Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Falmouth, Cumberland, Scarborough, Portland, Westbrook, and Gorham.
“Women of the Chamber” events are a series of networking forums designed last June for women to learn
