SENATOR COLLINS CONGRATULATES MAINE'S ELLIE LOGAN ON OLYMPIC VICTORY

          WASHINGTON, D.C.-U.S. Senator Susan Collins today released this statement following the gold medal victory for Maine's Ellie Logan and her eight women's rowing teammates at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.

      "Congratulations to Ellie Logan and her teammates on their incredibly hard-fought gold medal victory," Senator Collins said.  "With this medal, they have reached the pinnacle of their sport, which is a testament to their dedication, teamwork and, of course, amazing athleticism.  Ellie and her teammates have made Maine and their country very proud."
