Senator Collins Awards Internship to Westbrook Resident and SMCC Student

Portland, ME — U.S. Senator Susan Collins has announced that Lariska Mali Bengehya, a native of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and a current resident of Westbrook, has been awarded a fall internship in her Portland office. Lariska is a 2018 graduate of Westbrook High School and is now a sophomore at Southern Maine Community College.

 

“Lariska is a terrific student and a hard worker, and I am delighted to welcome her to my Portland office,” said Senator Collins. “It is always a pleasure to give students an opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to serve the citizens of Maine.”

 

Lariska is currently studying political science and hopes to continue her education by attending law school upon graduation in 2022.
