Buxton, ME — Today, U.S. Senator Susan Collins marched in the Buxton Community Day parade and attended the annual Dorcas Fest. The parade and festival were attended by hundreds of residents of Buxton and the surrounding area.
The parade was added to the Community Day celebration after being absent for the past few years. The theme was Red, White, and Blue.
“I enjoyed marching in the Buxton Community Day parade today, which has returned after a hiatus of several years,” said Senator Collins. “It was wonderful seeing hundreds of people from Buxton and the surrounding towns who are so proud of their community.”
The festival, located at Tory Hill, included games, face painting, a craft fair, a car show, food stands, live music, and fireworks. The celebration is sponsored by the charitable group Dorcas Society of Hollis and Buxton in conjunction with Buxton Community Day.
