Senator Collins’ Statement On Shootings In Northern Maine

WASHINGTON, D.C. – After reports that Maine State police captured a man who allegedly shot five people, two of them fatally, U.S. Senator Susan Collins released the following statement:

“The horrific violence that occurred over the last 24 hours in northern Maine is deeply troubling. I am grateful for the diligence of our first responders who successfully apprehended the alleged perpetrator of these crimes and supported the victims and their families in this time of crisis. The families of the two Mainers whose lives were taken and the three who were injured are in my prayers.”
