Senator Collins’ Statement on Senator Roy Blunt’s Retirement

Washington, D.C.—U.S. Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) issued this statement following Senator Roy Blunt’s (R-MO) announcement that he will not seek re-election in 2022.

“I’m sorry to learn of Roy Blunt‘s decision not to seek reelection. His departure will be a real loss to the Senate. 

“Roy is a terrific Senator, a wise and experienced leader, and a good friend. I work very closely with him on the Appropriations Committee, and I look forward to continuing those efforts over the next two years.”
