WASHINGTON, DC-- Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Susan Collins (R-ME) issued the following statement today regarding Janet Hale’s announcement that she will resign as Under Secretary for Management at the Department of Homeland Security in May:
“Three years ago, Janet Hale agreed to take on an historically difficult assignment; integrating 22 different agencies, with different financial, procurement, personnel and other systems, to form the new Department of Homeland Security. She has worked tirelessly in pursuit of that goal and deserves the Nation's thanks for helping to secure our homeland," said Senator Collins.
