SENATOR COLLINS’ STATEMENT ON THE DEATH OF MAINE SOLDIER

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Senator Susan Collins released this statement following the death of Army Sergeant Corey Dan.  The Army says the soldier from Norway was killed Monday in Iraq.  Dan was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY and was a member of the 101st Airborne Division.   “I am saddened to learn of the death of Sergeant Corey Dan.  Sergeant Dan was bravely serving his country in Iraq when he made the ultimate sacrifice.  I join all Mainers in being proud and grateful for the service and dedication he gave to our nation.  My deepest sympathies go out to Sergeant Dan’s family, friends, and loved ones.”
