Nearly $2.5 Million for Norway Projects Secured by Senator Collins in Funding Bill in First Key Step

Funding will support renovations for town office and Stephens Memorial Hospital

Washington, D.C.--U.S. Senator Susan Collins, a senior member of the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee, announced that she secured a total of $2,492,000 for two projects in Norway in the draft Fiscal Year 2023 Agriculture and Health and Human Services appropriations bills.  The bills, which were officially released by the full Senate Appropriations Committee today, must still be voted upon by the full Senate and House.

“Effective delivery of town services and access to quality health care are essential to building thriving communities,” said Senator Collins.  “I strongly advocated for these projects, which would make improvements to the Norway Town Office and Stephens Memorial Hospital.  These investments would provide significant benefits to local residents; encourage business development and job creation; and help ensure that the town remains a great place to live, work, and recreate.  As a senior member of the Appropriations Committee, I will continue to champion this funding as the appropriations process moves forward.”
